RECYCLING YOUR DIRT CHEAP LEADS (DCL'S)...

On the Dirt Cheap Lead training call yesterday there were some excellent points made regarding the "recycling" of your DCL's:

1. DCL's are automatically sent a series of autoresponder messages from the 'myseasilver' system... 9 messages over a 35 day period.

2. Don't expect instant response from your DCL's. It takes from 4 to 7 messages before you "get their attention" and start getting orders and serious inquiries. This is in keeping with all of my experience. An old rule in sales is that it takes a minimum of five attempts to "close" before prospects begin buying. With email this is extended. That is why we send multiple messages... we know it takes several times before a prospect takes action.

3. Consistancy is the absolute key to success with DCL's... buy one or more units of DCL's when ever they are available. Because of the multiple messages which are sent to each group of leads you can have thousands of lead follow-ups occuring each week. This activity will result in a steady stream of orders and bizop leads. Combine this system with PPC's (Pay-Per-Click) search engines and you have a totally automated online marketing system that will grow your business quickly and profitably.

4. When the initial 35 day cycle of autoresponder messages has been completed... wait about a week and "recycle" them into the autoresponder series again. You do this in your advanced contact manager. I just recycled 9,000 DCL's and instantly recieved three bizop leads.

5. You can expect a about a 4% opt-out on the first mailing, 2% the second week, and about 1% per week from then on. Overall you can expect a total opt-out rate of around 9 to 10 percent. These "opt-outs" are good. That means you are not wasting time following up on them.

TIP: Buy only the DCL's that do NOT come with telephone numbers... if they are available. Unless you plan on doing telephone cold calling to these leads (not recommended) there is no need for the telephone number... and you pay extra for these leads. Since you will no doubt get the telephone number and/or email address of any responders to your DCL's through your lead capture page, you might as well save the money you would spend on those with telephone numbers. If the DCL's with the telephone numbers are the only leads available, however, I would buy them instead of going without leads.
