On the Dirt Cheap Lead training call yesterday there were some excellent points made regarding the "recycling" of your DCL's:
1. DCL's are automatically sent a series of autoresponder messages from the 'myseasilver' system... 9 messages over a 35 day period.
2. Don't expect instant response from your DCL's. It takes from 4 to 7 messages before you "get their attention" and start getting orders and serious inquiries. This is in keeping with all of my experience. An old rule in sales is that it takes a minimum of five attempts to "close" before prospects begin buying. With email this is extended. That is why we send multiple messages... we know it takes several times before a prospect takes action.
3. Consistancy is the absolute key to success with DCL's... buy one or more units of DCL's when ever they are available. Because of the multiple messages which are sent to each group of leads you can have thousands of lead follow-ups occuring each week. This activity will result in a steady stream of orders and bizop leads. Combine this system with PPC's (Pay-Per-Click) search engines and you have a totally automated online marketing system that will grow your business quickly and profitably.
4. When the initial 35 day cycle of autoresponder messages has been completed... wait about a week and "recycle" them into the autoresponder series again. You do this in your advanced contact manager. I just recycled 9,000 DCL's and instantly recieved three bizop leads.
5. You can expect a about a 4% opt-out on the first mailing, 2% the second week, and about 1% per week from then on. Overall you can expect a total opt-out rate of around 9 to 10 percent. These "opt-outs" are good. That means you are not wasting time following up on them.
TIP: Buy only the DCL's that do NOT come with telephone numbers... if they are available. Unless you plan on doing telephone cold calling to these leads (not recommended) there is no need for the telephone number... and you pay extra for these leads. Since you will no doubt get the telephone number and/or email address of any responders to your DCL's through your lead capture page, you might as well save the money you would spend on those with telephone numbers. If the DCL's with the telephone numbers are the only leads available, however, I would buy them instead of going without leads.

When your Seasilver downline gets to the point where you would like to initiate your own conference calling program, then you are in luck. www.FreeConference.com offers a totally FREE conference calling system that you can use to set-up and operate your own call-in training or marketing programs. As those of you who have participated in any of the 'myseasilver' sponsored conference calls will attest... conference calls are powerful marketing and training tools for Seasilver distributors.
There are some restrictions on the maximum number of participants... I think that is 32 now with some options to increase from this base number. This is probably ample for setting up calls to your front line distributors... (first level)... you might consider holding separate calls for supporting your first level people, biz op presentations, etc.
FreeConference.com does not charge any surcharges, or special toll fees. The only cost to your call participants is the long distance fees they pay to join the call. They can call-in through their regular long distance provider. The service is totally free and will be supported eventially by online advertising. You should register at the site and seriously consider doing some informative conference calls with your downline and their prospects.
My immediate upline, Chad DeFerrari, runs a quality MLM oriented website at www.mlm411.net. You will find inexpensive advertising (tell Chad that you are in Thom Reece's downline and you will get some special offers), and quality content. Chad is also head of CDF Media... which counts Seasilver Corporate among his client list for media services.
Most of you are familiar with Cutting-Edge Media... they are one of the prime sources for leads, magazine advertising, card deck advertising, etc. in the business opportunity marketplace. Unless you have ordered and used CEM leads, however, you may not be aware of a great free training site from CEM: http://www.cemleadcoach.com/. The CemLeadCoach site is full of high quality training materials that will help you understand the entire lead generation process, how to properly follow-up on leads, telephone scripts, etc. It is a valuable free resource that you should consider visiting often. Bookmark the site and use it to help train yourself... and your downlines.

If you are on AOL...or if you are trying to respond to inquiries from prospects who use AOL... you need to be aware of a serious non-delivery pattern with AOL. AOL's servers, in an attempt to filter out spam, are dumping thousands upon thousands of legitimate email messages every day. To a lesser extent this problem exists system wide with most ISP's, but AOL's problem is especially significant as they have over 35 Million users.
I now have several prospects who have been sent numerous follow-messages by me personally... and the myseasilver autoresponder system... that indicate to me that they have not received any follow-up from me. In one case I have had to fax information to the inquirer after sending multiple emails to his AOL address and finding that none of them arrived.
This is not an isolated problem. I moderate several industry discussion lists (Amazon-Affiliates) and the problem with AOL email has been plaguing us for months. If you are an AOL customer you should seriously consider picking up a separate free email address (Yahoo for example) and use the non-AOL address for your essential correspondence. Otherwise you may find that your business suffers because important messages are arbitrarily being dumped by AOL and other ISP's. You might also consider vigorously complaining to AOL for their filtering practices. In a recent article on the subject one AOL spokesperson bragged about the AOL system filtering out over 850 Million messages that day. I wonder how many legitimate pieces of correspondence were included in that number? How many of yours?
